UPS delivered the Honda cargo box I ordered from Ron Ayers this afternoon.

I got the two mounting plates in the bed.

There are four hooks that are mounted to the bottom of the cargo box that attaches it to the mounting plates.

After attaching the box to the mounting plates, Honda provides two locking collars to securely fasten the cargo box in place.

Finshed install looks good.

The cargo box provides plenty of space for tools, parts and supplies

Its an expensive accessory, but I'm happy with how it turned out. It fits perfectly, and it's water and dust tight.

I ordered the Dirt Road Fabrication bed extender with the optional mount plate for mounting a gas can. I picked up a front loading mount for the Wavian jerry can I had on my Pioneer. I fabricated a 3/8" aluminum plate to adapt the Wavian mount to the DRF mount.

I installed a wye and two valves to control of water from my oil cooler to my heater. I am able to stop all flow to the heater core in the summer, and adjust the bypass flow back to the engine loop if needed.

I tried disconnecting the sway bar links as some in this forum have suggested, and liked the improved ride at slower speeds. I decided to install the Speedway shocks that other forum members have used so I didn't need to worry as much about body roll at higher speeds. They have worked out well.

I wasnt totally satisfied with the turn signals, so I installed a Signal Dynamics self cancelling turn signal module and interfaced it to the Auxbeam panel. I changed the mode of the outputs to momentary, and installed some turn signal indicators in the new overhead console.

When I put the battery isolator and second battery in, I installed two dual usb chargers, each with a voltmeter to monitor the primary and secondary battery voltage levels. I also installed an over-ride switch to operate my accessories without the ignition switch on.

What's that port in front of the GoPro mount?
20230730 213816

It's a manual disconnect switch for the winch. I leave the switch open except for when I'm actually using the winch..

I had a few questions asked about the overhead cooling fan I installed in my Talon.
I mounted a 12 volt DC radiator fan on some 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" x 1/8" aluminum angle secured by pipe clamps.

I used a 12" radiator fan purchased from Amazon.

I tried a few different varieties of cushioned pipe clamps. Many did not hold the cage tubing tightly. I ended up purchasing these from McMaster Carr.

It's relatively cheap and works well.
I experimented with the distance between the roof and the suction side of the fan. You can mount it too close to the roof, and affect the fan's output. I have the suction side of the fan about 2-1/2" below the roof now.
I plan to add a second fan above the front passenger seat, and add a PWM DC motor speed controller to vary the speed of the fan.
