I bought brackets from Magnum Outdoors. Spendy but work perfectly. See pic in post #3 of this thread..
The magnum outdoors brand I bought off Amazon are great. You put them on and never think of then again. They just work!

I'm trying to figure out the best spot to mount a couple pods, primarily to light up the periphery of my forward field of vision. I bought Rigid's D-SS Pro pods, but I assume they all mount similarly. I'm thinking I'd like them spread out as far as possible butI'm about out of space on my A pillars. Has anyone used the existing bolt pictured below? If so, how did you go about it?

There are quite a few of us with pods mounted there. I just used washers to take up the gap and you'll need a longer M6 bolt.

Bought the brackets from rough country. They go on easy but they dont allow my side shooters to sit level. Really want the magnum out doors brackets but they dont list them on their website anymore.

Does anyone know if the Talon brackets will work with the pioneers?

Did you buy the rough country lights and brackets? I have some lights but I want just the brackets. I might have to make some

Called them and they just sold me the beackets. But the par of the bracket that you bolt the light to isnt level. Its bent at a weird angle.

How much did the brackets cost? Can you not just bend them to be level?

$40. You can bend them but I still dont think they will be level. Trying to figure out if the talon bolt pattern is the same as pioneer on a pillar. Seems like alot more options for the talon.

Give me a sec and ill post what i did and where i mounted my pods.

And yes, most if them are. They used most of the same bolts. But in different areas. The distance between bolts in the pillar are the same yes

Ok, these are old from some years ago before my light bar. Im planning on some different pods in the same spot in the near future. So u can use the regular “U” bracjets that came with your roughcountry pods and do the mounts i did. Very simple and cheap. The top bolt on your plastic just inside the pillar below the windshield, take that bolt out and take it to the hardware store and match it up with a longer bolt. I got an Alan head bolt. Bolt your “U” bracket to it and make your adjustments. Straight as an arrow!

The Roughcountry brackets are nice but can give u issues like you state and limit u to some other things u do in your window area. I had the same issue in my talon. Ill post pics in my build when im done with them.

Oh, almost forgot. When u pull that bolt and put your U bracket on, be sure to add some washers to the bottom from the top of the plastic to bottom of the U bracket or your pods wont sit flat. Reason for the longer bolt. Told you its been a few years! 🤣 🥳
