You could add a switch to the power cord and leave the rocker switch on the unit on all the time.
So that was my thought too and after $100 in parts I believe that may not be possible. 1st issue - sound bar runs up to 40amps, almost all rockers are 20amps. 2nd issue - bar actually has 2 power ons, one on the side that's a main power that puts it in "deep standby". You still have to push the power button in the center of the bar for it to come on.
So I thought maybe for $1000 one of the 5 jbl apps out there would control it and allow you to power on/off via app. tried all 5 and none worked for me with the bar. I'm going to call customer service tomorrow to see if I'm missing something.
I welcome any suggestions or things I'm overlooking. the sound is incredible but I dont want to have spent $1k for sound and have to walk to rear of machine every trip for on and off.
Tomorrow I'm looking into mounting in the front instead, where I could simply push on from driver seat. fairly certain rear view mirror will need to be relocated or removed. also concerned about bright LEDs in the face while driving at night.
The first issue can be solved by controlling a relay with the 20A rocker switch.
I’m looking to eventually replace our Kemimoto speaker. Can the party LEDs be turned off? Sounds like a great speaker but I would not want those lights after dark.
I believe that’s just the relay box. You’ll need to purchase the relays separately.Disregard the relay question, 10 minutes of googling and I educated myself. bought this:
Mount it behind you in the drivers cabin. That is where I am going to put mine now that I have a second one to mount in back and run party mode when needed. So that was my thought too and after $100 in parts I believe that may not be possible. 1st issue - sound bar runs up to 40amps, almost all rockers are 20amps. 2nd issue - bar actually has 2 power ons, one on the side that's a main power that puts it in "deep standby".
