I have mine installed in the back. Very good sound for a sound bar. I did not have to flip my brackets

Thanks for making a video. I've been looking at these. I have 2 JBL Partybox 100s, but they are so big and awkward I can't figure out how I could mount them to make them removable.

Order submitted, is the wiring straight forward? I was also thinking about adding a rocker switch for the speaker so it can be left on with key power off. I have the 2nd battery on my machine so hoping that works out...

One power cord supplied. Thats the only connection. Has a rocker switch for off on. Good choice by the way

So thebspeaker rocks but I'm disappointed that it can't be controlled by a dash rocker. I was going to mount it in the rear so everyone in the 5 seater can hear. as such I have to walk to the back to turn on off everytime I drive.

Anyone know of a soundboard that can be controlled by a rocker switch from the dash? wondering if I need to rethink my direction here??

You could add a switch to the power cord and leave the rocker switch on the unit on all the time.

So that was my thought too and after $100 in parts I believe that may not be possible. 1st issue - sound bar runs up to 40amps, almost all rockers are 20amps. 2nd issue - bar actually has 2 power ons, one on the side that's a main power that puts it in "deep standby". You still have to push the power button in the center of the bar for it to come on.

So I thought maybe for $1000 one of the 5 jbl apps out there would control it and allow you to power on/off via app. tried all 5 and none worked for me with the bar. I'm going to call customer service tomorrow to see if I'm missing something.

I welcome any suggestions or things I'm overlooking. the sound is incredible but I dont want to have spent $1k for sound and have to walk to rear of machine every trip for on and off.

Tomorrow I'm looking into mounting in the front instead, where I could simply push on from driver seat. fairly certain rear view mirror will need to be relocated or removed. also concerned about bright LEDs in the face while driving at night.

In reading more about it seems like some folks are running the sound bars through the 20amp rockers without issue. for example, one guy has the kicker bar that is up to 30amp on a 20amp switch without any issues?

The first issue can be solved by controlling a relay with the 20A rocker switch.

I’m looking to eventually replace our Kemimoto speaker. Can the party LEDs be turned off? Sounds like a great speaker but I would not want those lights after dark.

Any links to a kit or steps on how to tie into a relay?

I believe it can, it's some sequence of holding down buttons. not sure if it remembers that setting or if you have to perform each time.

Disregard the relay question, 10 minutes of googling and I educated myself. bought this:
I believe that’s just the relay box. You’ll need to purchase the relays separately.

I didn’t use a box but instead bought this pack of stand alone relays to use on various projects. Amazon.com

Wiring up a relay is pretty simple. If you still have any questions after the google answer, I’m sure there are many folks here that can help out. Basically it uses a low amp circuit to switch and pass a higher amp load.

Mount it behind you in the drivers cabin. That is where I am going to put mine now that I have a second one to mount in back and run party mode when needed.

They have a smaller one without the led
