I debated nerf bars, but went skids only. The integrated side skids do a good job of protecting the machine.

The side skids on my machine seem to tie it together good. I don’t think you need nerfs also unless you do hard core rock crawling.

Well time to start a new build thread!
Just purchased a new talon x4. Id appreciate any pointers on the must haves or must do's. Ive got the warrior snorkel coming. Thinking about just the half windshield for now. I like it on the Pioneer that way.

Congrats on the new rig!!!! That is a sharp color combo.

I went with Ricochet's full aluminum skid on the #T1KX. It was the only kit I found that didn't require self tappers or drilling new holes in the frame.

Yes, I still have sway bar attached. I’ve thought of giving it a try with it detached but haven’t.

Fitting is one thing but fitting comfortably is another and although the 1000-5 is a wonderful improvement over the 500, it is still too small in leg room.

Well cut out the fire wall and floor board and go at it Barney Rubble style.

I like the colors. Had they a 4 seater when I was looking at the 1000, I may have turned talons and run with it. As it stood, I cannot fit in a 2seater talon. Is there much more adjustments in the 4 seaters seats? Are you gonna make it street legal?

No on street legal. Can't do that here. Its the same front cab as the other talons. But with all that room behind me. You probably could easily fab a new seat bracket. Or take out front seat and drive from the rear seat!
