I think its cool that you have a 500, 700, & 1000 going. It will be interesting to see how they compare, what breakdowns if any occur, etc. It will also be interesting to see how they General does. Honda ought to sponsor this trip, it could be a great marketing opportunity. Of course you'll have more fun if you're not beholden to anyone and can just do what you want.

Lastly, I think somewhere you said the trip is 2000 miles or so. What is your plan for oil changes? Not sure about the others, but the 700 will require 3 oil changes to go that distance! Are you setting something up with shops along the way or are you going to bring it all with you and change it en route?

Not at all! I meant because mopar pulls a long trailer everyday, he'd probably feel weird driving all those miles without towing some cargo!

It's a cartridge style but from what I hear it is 100 times easier than changing the filter on the 500.

Someone did a great write-up on changing the 700's oil, you should look it over!

I had an old 1-1/4 receiver just pinned in the hole. I just found my good 2" 1-7/8 receiver and it sits perfectly level.

Jackson Hole Wyoming, near the south entrance to Yellowstone!!! The snake gets it's start near the south end of Yellowstone and flows south to Jackson Hole where it makes a sharp right turn and races across Idaho to the Columbia as its chief tributary. The CD crossing is going to be one spectacular event on this historic expedition.

The frame will be hammertone black, the body will be yes, white, black and maybe some polished aluminum? I can tell you for sure. It'll be lit up like a chicken hauler.

Hit a bump and the ride senses that it's out if level and sets it back at unladen ride height. My Durango does the same thing.
