I have been going back and forth between that one and the under seat mounted one. Do you have the OEM sub? If so, what you think about the mounting location, and the sub in general? It seems like it would be a lot of stuff mounted in the wheel well.

No, I have the SSV in a P5 though. Decent system but not enough for me in regards to sound quality. Everyone has different opinions on what is enough but 6.5's won't create enough bass to fill the bottom end so they end up getting pushed too hard and sound distorted. Makes it hard to tune bc you're searching for a frequency that it can't achieve. Honestly the under seat mounted one is the one I'd probably go with. Any sub in any location will help.

Well, the days are getting shorter, the temperature is dropping, and I have been trying to squeeze the last miles of riding out of this season. The parts boxes are really starting to pile up, but I did manage installing a few things here and there.
The OEM Fender Flares are 1/2 on (just the front right now) Install was very easy, great fit and finish. They really cut down on the dust and mud. One minor negative, I live in a 65" max width state and some of the trails have extremely tight choke points to enforce this. I've been forced to pop one side off to squeeze through some places but removal is a pretty quick job. Definitely worth it.

I installed a shift gate. This is my first Honda SXS so I have no muscle memory for the OEM shifting configuration. This made shifting a little cumbersome for me, especially in the dark. The shift gate solved that for me. I got the gate used off eBay because I wanted High and Revers on the left and the only new ones I found had Low and Revers on the left. While I was in there I did the Jeep shifter boot mod to keep the heat and dust out of the cab. Love both of these additions. Relatively cheap and quick to install.

With the weather getting warmer, I'm back in the shop prepping for the spring riding season.
I did the popular Talon Desertcraft Pre-filter Kit R2 from 10-80 dirt sports. Easy to install and it looks great. After just a few hundred miles last season my filter is already pretty dirty so this should help a lot. One minor word of caution... The filter is TIGHT next to the rear window. Once the unit is installed you will not be able to install or remove a rear window, at least not a Tusk Glass window. Overall I give this a 10/10.

I installed the Milwaukee packout mount from AJK Offroad. I'm happy with it. Using socketed hex keys over T handled ones or allen wrenches helped a lot with the install. I got some various Milwaukee packouts to customize my setup depending on where I'm riding.

After doing some trail side maintenance last season (friends Kawasaki) I decided I wanted a hitch mountable vice. So I installed the CA Tech Hitch Receiver Plate . Not as cool looking as those rear pull plates I've seen but it should do what I want. I added a Shackle Hitch with D Ring from Scamazon. Hopefully the whole setup is rugged enough.

I installed the Hillbilly Brake over the weekend. The install was EXTREMELY easy. I'm very happy with it. When I first used it I noticed the brake lights stay on even when the Talon is turned off but eventually they go out.

Swapped out my safety placard for something a little more stylish. This is a Talon Dash Logo from 10-80 Dirt sports. I have 100% loved everything from 10-80 dirt sports so far. However, I want to note a few things about this for others.
The holes do not line up with the ones in the dash, they are much smaller than the oem rivets were and I didn't get any supplied fasteners. Not a big deal.
Also, the red is slightly different than the Talon red, also not a big deal.
In summation, I love it, it looks great, I am very happy with it and the other 10-80 Dirtsports products.
