I think having the extra capacity in tank vs hanging on the machine somewhere is a much better idea. Saftey wise I'm not a fan of hanging flammable liquid on a machine in the event of a rollover that could potentially rupture or pop one of those roto packs open.

Thanks for the clarification / verification.

Why not get the 10-80 trail tank and add 4.2 gal of capacity and be done with it? Should allow for around 225 miles of range.

I have these in all of the Talons. I've looked for the P1K5 but have yet to find anyone offering. These tanks diminish the anxiety when the fuel gauge starts fluctuating from 1/2 - 1/4 - Fuel Light Flickering. If you ever consider installing Raceco's Trailing Arm Brace Kit, make sure and do so when installing the tank. Very easy with tank removed, completely impossible without removing the Trail Tank. I also have these on the Talons along with the rear radius arm Double Shear Braces from Bosman Design

I wouldn't say it's impossible, just not something I'm doing again. 🙃

Congrats on the new Talon @JACKAL
That black looks good. Nice addition to your rigs and another to your long list of rigs from past to present.

@Tramguage1 on the TUSK rear seat cargo platform plates from Rocky Mountain ATV, it appears there is some room under the plates in footwell area, is it large enough underneath to store items like the Milwaukee air compressor and recovery straps, etc. ?

Lots of room down there but a small hole to fit it. I’ve thought about trying to hinge the tray or something to make it more accessible but never have. I only use them when overlanding

I actually picked up a 2 seat fuelmtank and have planes to install it under the passenger front seat. Then purchase the OEM plastic piece that is used in the 2 seater.

Will do, got several items from club store sitting in my cart, still pondering a few SATV options for you to get me as well.
I saw your email. I need to check on a $$$$ level discount.

We have the TrailArmor discount code. I guess it still works.

Even though I am not a fan of tree kickers.
I will be getting a set for my next Talon.

I was convinced the Milwaukee Packout boxes / coolers were the way to go vs. any of the boxes by Honda or otherwise, turns out it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be vs. the OEM box pricing and still not have a secured cooler solution.

Thanks to the many older posts from 2 years ago and some experienced suggestions to go this route instead.

if you can find an aluminum Packout mount I would go that route. My AJK one is rusting after a few hundred miles.
I was running low on Talon funds so I ended up buying the large triple packet mounting plate from home Depot for I think $40. A little trimming and it works great. And it's plastic so no rust issues either.

Yeah they don't even have it together yet, been sitting in warehouse as shipped for past 7 weeks.

Now about the 4 door enclosure like this:

@SuperATV poly tinted cab enclosure (but for 4 doors) - Honda Talon 1000 Cab Enclosure Doors

Do you need a donor machine for fitment? Ill drive that bad boy 5 hrs. to you and drop it off if I could get it back by Christmas

Hint Hint wink, wink

Also you taking notes, the company needs to offer, UHMW rock sliders, A-Arm Guards, & Trailing Arm Guards to go with your skid plates on Talons and Pioneers - Missing out on an addition $400 per unit in sales.
I'm pushing hard for all of this!

Hard uppers are definitely on the list for the 4 seater.

I've been pushing for the UHMW sliders and arm guards for years, but I guess we don't have the proper tooling to bend them correctly in house. We've been talking about it for years. I know we have a couple guys looking into getting proper tooling to do it all in house.

Well I can be persuaded by others experience's with products. Went with the Trail Armor skid based upon the rock slider design off the body an inch. Still don't like the front skid stop 6"shorter than the FUTV version, I tend to occasionally push up on rocks at that point. Still stuck to my guns on FUTV trailing arm guard that you don't have to drill into trailing arm to attach and the front A-Arm guards. My 1000X-4 is being put together tomorrow and picking it up Thursday 11/7/24.

Got the following items on the way:

Honda OEM Trailing Arm Mud Guards - OSK12-HL6-A00
Honda OEM Fender Flares - OSF70-HL6-A00
Bosman Font Winch Bumper
SuperATV glass windshield and rear tinted panel
Trail Armor full skid plate
FUTV A-Arm Guards & Trailing arm guards
4 Point Harnesses for front seats
TUSK Rear Cargo Rack kit replacing both back seats & Jumbo Dog bed to overlay 54" x 36"
TUSK folding mirrors A Pillar mount
Mud Guard Shield and dust / airflow bock off kit
Kemimoto UTV rearview Mirror
Offroad Packout mount for Talon
Milwaukee Packout boxes (4) and 16 Qt Cooler (2)

Everything above but the bumper should be here Thurs/ Fri at the latest.
IT should be against the law to blow $4000 in 5 minutes o_O:D

Thanks! I WILL take a set of the 4 door Enclosed cab doors as soon as I can buy them @Hondasxs ordered the SuperATV glass windshield and tinted rear panel for it this evening. Along with everything else posted immediately above.
