I got Viper springs from Amazon for $87 each. They had black and red availableIs everyone buying their springs from summit? I'm trying to find black ones. I found the right size for the front but can't find any black ones that are 3" ID for the rear. All I can find is silver

My rear springs showed up already. Work on swapping them out once my spring compressor shows up…I got Viper springs from Amazon for $87 each. They had black and red available
I purchased a similiar spring compressor on Amazon, it worked slick. Thanks for the suggestion
About 1-1/4” the new springs were 14” the old were 15.5”3" seems a bit high... How much preload did you put on them?
You've got a lot of junk in the trunk, @Prntckt ! 🤣I have a large cargo box with tools, jack, spare parts, oil and fluids, 5 gallon fuel tank, spare tire, demountable 5000 winch in the rear. Im guessing about 250 lbs of stuff. The original spring were coil bound worse than in one of the pictures in the thread. I can dial back the preload if it turns out too stiff.
I frequently ride solo during the week, so I try to plan for the unexpected. You've got a lot of junk in the trunk, @Prntckt ! 🤣
@WagginTail Inquiring how the Vipper spring worked out? Did you use 2.5" inch in front and 3" inch in the back? You think 300lb spring in the rear are adequate with spare tire tools, ice chests, jack. ThanksI ordered the black viper springs from Amazon. 250lb for front and 300lb for back. Should get them Dec 6 or 7. Shocks coming between Dec 1 and 6.
I'm still waiting for my front shocks to be delivered. They have been on backorder since Thanksgiving. Hopefully they will arrive before the end of the month. I haven't installed the rear shocks either. I'll definitely report back when I have everything put on.@WagginTail Inquiring how the Vipper spring worked out? 300 lb rear springs worked out great for me and I have a considerable amount of weight in my dump box. I am a very pleased with them. I havent upgraded my front springs yet but plan to do so later this year@WagginTail Inquiring how the Vipper spring worked out? Did you use 2.5" inch in front and 3" inch in the back?
