So just tried taking my new rig for a spin and it doesn't want to shift above first gear. Even manually won't do anything. Any suggestions?
That’s exactly what it needs, the transmission only gets better with time.Seat belt thing worked for getting it out of first gear. Was still a little jerky and clunky, high revs after. Got a little better as I drove it a bit more today. Think it may just need a little breaking in and me learning the machine.
My niece did the same thing. She didn't want to tell me she wasn't wearing the belt since that was the stipulation to drive it from her mom and I. She came back, said it wasn't running right.. I buckled her belt and it magically ran fine.a short while ago my 2 oldest boys took the pioneer out to play on the lake.they came back in after about 15 mins.sorry dad, somethings wrong with it.i said "try putting on your seatbelts this time".i didn't even ask them what was wrong.i was right.it gets every new rider every time.
I remember my first trip to the lake with my first new boat. Got the whole family loaded up, chest swollen with pride, turn the key and nothing. I get under the hatch and look around for 15-20 min trying to figure out what’s up.... finally figure out my then toddler daughter had been playing on the boat ant tripped the kill switch.... what a relief!
