Let's talk about prepping.

We are in Northern Missouri and our corn did 200+ bushel/acre this year. I agree that the weather is a little screwed up at times but I cant focus on everything going to hell in a hand basket. Farming is a gamble for sure.

I'm just saying that the last 10 years of farming have proven to be weirder than most. Hell, I just plowed snow yesterday for the 1st time in Northern Illinois. The ground is still mud. It should be rock hard with brown grass by now. I think the Bean Master's problem is that he's kind of preaching to the choir here since we all tend to be pretty self sufficient. I'm not gonna hate on the guy for it though.

Yep, my house is strategically positioned on a hill so I can pick people off as they make their way to my house when the s*** hits the fan!

Preparing for bad times could if We let it consume us to the point that We don't fully live the life that God has given us now, it is true that We should educate ourselves to protect our families and friends and have faith to know that God is in control inspite of what many may believe, in this world We are subject to its rule of nature and law, if We are True Bible Believers than We have a good idea as to where it may be going, accumulating stuff to prepare is not as important as educating ourselves on how to adapt to the situation at hand producing resources for Yourself to maintain food and shelter, much knowledge is being lost in the Younger generation, important things like knowing how to plant and grow a garden hunting for food making shelter things that where just common knowledge in our past generations are now being lost to Walmart and the culture We all live in today, We could accumulate lots of goods and materials to sustain for a while but if We are reduced to an only the strong survive situation than their will always be something or someone stronger, in all things give Thanks to God and His finished work in Christ Jesus, personally I prefer to be on His side in the end and If You Believe The KJV Bible every word like I know many of Us do and unfortunately many don't but inspite of what anyone believes in the end "HE Win's" Jesus is not the little passive flower carrying freak that many make Him out to be He Is God,,,,Truth is truly stranger than fiction, all that being said it's still not a bad idea to have a Pioneer loaded with Peanutbutter and ammo,,,,,,,

Back in the day when they gave out awards for actually achieving something, I often received overall highest grades for science and history. I have always loved to research stuff and I question everything. Even @JTW 's sexual preferences. LOL Albeit the latter not withstanding as an item of much interest in the realm of knowledge....for the life of me I still struggle with technology, mathematics and mechanics. I may be a borderline academia but I'm still a red pilled right winger. I'm bound by determination to upset the equilibrium of those few interlopers whom seek to dwell inside the areas of group think and normalcy bias. That being said, I think I'll drink some more cough syrup.

I swear youtube is such a love hate relationship. It shows me so many things that I'm interested in and yet it causes crazes and fads that ruin the idea almost immediately.

@100Acre ....have you seen/read the book titled Back To Basics? It's a great start for anyone wanting to get out of the grocery stores and start fending for yourself. It's not perfect but it sends the reader in the right direction on many topics.
