^^^ I am generally not a fan of laminated stocks, but Marlin does it the absolute best of anyone. That's beautiful! You got enough there to thread for that fuel filter or are you going to hav to cut that feed tube back a scosh?

I’ll bring the tube back one full round so I have plenty of room to thread. For that big of a round, you need a certain length of thread base. The little 22 I did was about 1/2” long and it’s held up for 9 years. Even through mini-mags.

This one has been in our family since 1895. It’s a Winchester Model 1894 chambered in 30 W.C.F. The front sight was broken off in a cattle drive around 1904? My dads great uncle replaced it with a piece of penny! The original saddle loop is still on the receiver, along with the original wood furniture!

Pulled the rest out of the floor safe. Winchester 45-70 from 1901, Winchester 30 WCF from 1940, Marlin special edition 25-20 year unknown, and the previous post Winchester. Got the Winchester 30 and Marlin in a police auction when I had my FFL. $130 for the pair! The 45-70 was our family’s buffalo gun. It’s passed down from the same great uncle.
