I purchased a battery for my lawn mower this summer and a month later the plastic transmission went out. I'm thinking of using it as a second on my P5. I know it's not the best solution but I've got it so I want to use it. What are your thoughts on this.

I used at lawn tractor battery (U1 340cca/45rc) for 3 years on my P500 and tied it in to my winch contactor and it worked great. If you already have it sitting around, you should use it.

If running independent should be good. Only thing I’ve read is that 2 batteries on same charging circuit should be same specs.

Use what you have, and when it's time to replace it remember a Rhino battery is the same size, and can be had in AGM with good reserve.

Will that matter if I use an isolator.

This one is a sealed led acid so not really worried about leaking. Plan to make a place under the driver seat for it.
