Kilo and JTW’s epic two week adventure!!

So we’ve been over landing the last two days and camped the past two nights.. we’ve gone from the mountains to the high desert to the canyon lands. Service has been spotty the past day. But we’re back at the cabin recharging for another epic adventure tomorrow! Richard b****ed out on us and went to Colorado. Said he couldn’t handle the challenging trails and needed some gravel roads in his life. So it’s just kilo and I finishing up the Moab run. This place really is awesome! There is a whole gambit of trails. From easy cruising scenic to as challenging as you want to get. From mountains to canyon lands and a cool little town in between. I’m not sure why there’s so much apprehension about coming here, but it’s like nothing else! 1000’s of miles of trails and more views and riding than you can imagine and we’ve not even scratched the surface. Getting a better handle on how to get around it now. Next year we’ll have to spend a little more time in the mountains as we had some navigation issues figuring out how to access them from town. But we’ve got that figured out now.

We also ran into a fellow hondasxs forum member from Wyoming some of you might have followed, @Dezrik and his family. Kinda cool when you’re 2000 miles from home and recognize someone’s machine from the forum and stop and say hello!

Saw @Dezrik posting on the FB group and saw @Kilo427 going up that Hell's Pass or whatever it was. Definitely cool to put the faces to a forum name! I'll make it out to Moab one day...

Few pics from today.. we rode about 100 miles. Everything from technical to scenic to fast paced sand. Today was probably my favorite from a riding stand point. Found trails that weren’t on the maps and hit roads I hadn’t been down in 20 years. Pretty cool day! I highly recommend Moab to anyone... there’s truly everything and every type of riding for anyone. Be an awesome place for a club overland ride.... wink wink!!

@JTW Great Pics! That scenery is amazing! I noticed in the one photo @Kilo427 was watching you as he appeared to be relieving himself over the cliff. Looks as if there may have been some shenanigans behind the scenes:confused:

Any video when you set the machines on their sideso_O

That place gets in your soul! Used to make a yearly pilgramage before gas prices went through the roof. In the early planning stages for a spring 2021 trip.

I don't care to remember how long it's been...too long, but the last time I was there, I grabbed a rental jeep and did some trails. The pics he posted looking down at the highway are (I'm pretty sure) the start of the Gemini Bridges trail, and that's 191.
Just before the trail head it started snowing, and by the time I got to the top where you can normally catch that view...and views down into the Moab basin, it was snowing so hard you couldn't see either. Moab In snow. Epic.
