Dang the one I was looking at is basically a swamp cooler - I'll figure out what to get by the time we get there

I think I read that swamp coolers aren't good in high humility applications. I looked at several.
Was prepared to spend $300 on the "right one"... but it all kept coming back to a 5,000btu window unit. LoL.
We will see. I will definitely give it a TEST run, before I haul it 6 hrs.

No they are not - they are pretty much useless in our area - I did not see it was a cooler until my second look - When I lived in Amarillo the swamp coolers worked quite well but it also cooled off at night too

Rather tent camp.

My rational was... $360 for a Cabin for the weekend or $60 for a camper spot.

We got $500 worth of camping supplies already to enhance our homeless experience... and I spoke w a guy at the campground that put us in a tent / shade friendly spot.

So if you think about it. The air conditioner is FREE. Haha
