P1000 Intermittent Power steering

I have intermittent power steering light on and shifting like crap. I changed battery and checked both grounds and it still does it. Anybody got any ideas? 16 Pioneer 1000

Does it only come on when shifting?
If so, with your year model, probably a shift control motor issue.
Read somewhere that the power steering light will come on if something is drawing to much power.
