P1000 I finally found and purchased a used P1K5 - next steps? Pics!

That said, it's a 2016 Pioneer 10005 Deluxe. Previous owner was the original owner since new and was very meticulous and provided a binder full of ALL work, upgrades, maintenance and warranty service done on it since new. All recall work has been done on it by RideNow (unless there was a new 2016 recall in the last 6 months) and it has a ton of upgrades. I'm in AZ and the best part is that I paid $15K for it. Seemed like a great deal with all the upgrades it has on it and the overall condition. It was always garaged as well. Has 4,100 miles and clean title - never wrecked.

How'd I do? Any tips?

IDK... you didn't list price. I'd say under 17k you did well considering current market.

Seems like a fine deal to me . . . main thing is if you're happy!

Must be the camera angle or something, but wheel alignment, especially looking at the front end, looks iffy in the photos. Has to be the camera angle or lens distortion or something!

Looks great! I haven't seen any other Audioformz roofs on the forum, I bought mine used with one as well...and it looks like you got a level 4 or 5. That's a $4-5K roof. Mine's a level 3. Good sounds and excellent Cree LEDs up front.

If your roof squeaks, check out my thread where I used industrial grade felt to quiet it.

Yeah, I'll have to look at that when I have more time this weekend - it does look odd. I don't know if my camera angle exaggerated it, as my driveway does slope upwards - but it doesn't look that bad when when parked on the level street though it still has some negative camber. I'd find it unusual if the ball joints were broken.

Given what it has on it, and the asking price - I wasn't going to nickel and dime him.

To respond to some questions:

I don't know if they are stock arms.
Same on the shocks - they appear to be stock.
He said it has a 2.5" hi-lifter lift kit on it.
Wheels are AT30x10R14, Kanati Mongrels on all 4

@P1K5Dave Yeah, the roof is nice. It does squeak a little, so I'll give your thread a look - thanks for the tip. I am impressed with just how bright the lights are on the roof. They look so small and unassuming, but they are by far the brightest lights on the Honda.

I went outside and looked at it while parked in the garage. It doesn't look nearly as exaggerated in the earlier photo, but it still does have a visible negative camber to it; looks like a bit more on the passenger side front. I looked at the ball joints and hardware around the wheels and nothing stood out to me as worn, broken or an issue.

He was joking about broken ball joints. If that were the case, your negative would be something like "sideways."

It looks like your previous owner took the lowest-budget route to stuff 30s under there, the bracket lift.

I had one under my machine when I got it, and I think that's the cause of your high negative camber. Mine had it too.

As far as I can tell, it looks like he stayed with the stock arms rather than going with the Highlifter 1.5" forward arms as well. One of your pics shows a pretty tight clearance at the wheel well (behind the front tires.) That should be rubbing quite easily, no?

It looks like your upper a arms are bent. The pic of the drivers side shows some paint cracking at the bracket to hold the break hose. Those arms should be straight not arched at all.

Addressing some of the questions:

• No wheel spacers in the front, but the back has what looks like 2” spacers, presumably to offset moving to the same size tires on front and back.
• The wheels don’t rub except in very tight turns. Previous owner mentioned this and said if he could do it again, he’d have gone with 28’s instead.

Other than uneven tire wear and appearance, is there any other issue with the negative camber on the front wheels?
For replacing the “A” arms on both sides, what is recommended? OEM? Aftermarket?
If/when I replace them, will I need any other parts?

What are the best web sites people generally use here for OEM Honda parts for Pioneers?

As for the shocks, I assume the stock OEM ones in there are “OK”. If I were to replace them on a budget, what are some recommended ones (not wanting to break the bank – on a budget)?

Looks like it’s pretty well equipped. Being in AZ myself, I’d recommend a full width UHMW 1/2” skid plate and the upgraded air filter pre cleaner cover. You’ll have to reposition some of the electrical gear, or you may want to add the curved radiator hose and a K&N filter under the hood. The Honda air filters do a good job, but are a little pricey. Don’t expect to get 3,600 miles between air filter changes if you ride in the desert. Add a couple of injector harness splice kits from the Club Store to your parts bin and keep all of your battery terminals clean and tight, including the chassis and engine grounds. Have fun!

That's the exact spot my upper front a-arms bent. I had 2 bend from hard impacts, 1 with Fox Shocks and 1 with Stock shocks.

Those bent arms are a bit of a shocker to me. I wouldn't have expected them to be a fail point. I never had mine while the stock arms were on.
