Daughter shot her first buck in Kentucky last weekend. Had to tell her she may never get one like that again. Hopefully not the case. We had a productive weekend. We also got a nice 8 pointer and a doe. The P1k-5 was busy hauling deer all weekend. We made some great memories and are thankful for our experience. Wish everyone luck this fall hunting season.

Guess ill put this here as well.
Up at deer camp in Northern Mi where bodys are big, the antlers are small and the deer aint tame and urban fed like they are in southern mi. Bigger challenge up here.
Anywho, cousin got the one with the broken antlers Left Friday evening. Old guy needed to come out of the food chain. I got the 2-1/2 yr old 4 pt right, the next day.
All with the bow. Our firearm opener is on the 15th. Still have a doe and restricted tag left to fill. The P1K5 farm rig saved our aging asses getting them out and to the train station for field dressing fo sho.
Also had a huge Elk on our cam Friday morning before we got to camp.

What a buck! My daughter has only killed 2 small bucks and 1 doe in her 4 years of hunting. I've only killed 11 with 6 points or better in my 39 years of hunting. Nothing as big as her buck but a whole lot of good memories. You guys definitely made some good ones that weekend.

Yes sir. I am very proud. She kept her cool in a crazy moment. He was chasing does and popped out if thicket in an instant. I told her the same. I've been hunting 30 yrs and never got a buck like that. Most important to me is keeping the kids active and out in the woods as much as possible. There is a lot that can be learned just be being in the woods. Good luck this fall.

My buddy snapped this pic yesterday evening while mowing the clover plot.

Anxious to get down there to skirt the stands and pop up a few blinds!
It's almost crossbow season here.

Got some extra visitors today. Only two of them show up on a regular basis. If ribeye prices don't come down one of them might end up in the freezer 😁
