Can you remove and test the LED lamps? If power and ground are both present and connected properly the lamp or lamps are suspect.

After about 53 phone calls Honda is covering the lights "in good faith"
just be advised that any after market accessory you have on your will be the way out for them unless it's bought and installed by honda or dealer.

Good faith nothing, it's their problem and they know it.

Your dealer could have easily seen that your light bar wiring had nothing to do with it, and could have made life easier on you.

Anyway, glad it's finally getting sorted out.

It sounds like you've finally persuaded Honda Corp. to do the right thing in your case but US warranty law provides that a manufacturer cannot arbitrarily deny warranty claims because an owner or shop other than their franchised dealers performed service, repair, or installations.

The manufacturer must PROVE that damage or component failure was caused by non-dealer work.

Unfortunately the owner is often forced to take the case to court to obtain satisfaction and the manufacturers and dealers have deeper pockets and can often bluff to avoid paying.

Honda Corp has to know they've had a few defective taillamp assemblies leave the assembly line.

All major manufacturers track warranty claims very carefully and I know from personal experience Honda does.

LED's are typically rated for 50,000 hours . . . maybe Honda is using the sub-economy version only rated for 5! With all the reports of failure, clearly something is amiss.

My machine is currently in for its second pair of replacement tailights (burnt out twice). 2021 1000-5 with 200 miles and very little night use. Gauge cluster backlight has also now failed . Honda has directed the dealer to replace the regulator as well. Dash mounted voltmeter hasn’t indicated any excessive voltage however….
