hen I bought my big red muv 700, it didn't even come with an instrument panel. Great machine, but for price, more could be includedmy guess is for the future is SXS sides will stay in the market and yes they may price out of the "Working man" price range but that is what will bounce the 4 wheeler/bike market. SXS will keep advancing! as far as price sky rocketing I don't think so as much as CC and HP sky rocketing! you have to ask your self honestly do I need that much or do I just want that much? That goes for CC and Add on's. that will determine the price of the machines.
what was the opening price on Big red?
I guess that kind of says what I was saying that they price is not skyrocketing. In 2009 they were MSRP $11,399 In 2012 were $11,699 MSRP:
"The Honda Big Red MUV is a utility style utility vehicle with an MSRP of $11,399 and was new for 2009. Power is provided by a 4-stroke, 675cc, liquid cooled, OHV, single-cylinder engine with electric starter. The engine is paired with a 3-Speed automatic transmission and total fuel capacity is 7.9 gallons. The Big Red MUV rides on steel wheels with 25 X 10-12 front tires and 25 X 10-12 rear tires. The front suspension is a independent double wishbone while the rear suspension is a independent double wishbone. Front hydraulic disc brakes and rear hydraulic disc brakes provide stopping power. The Big Red MUV comes standard with a bucket, 2-passenger seat."
I financed around $10300. I get a 10℅ discount. So total with no accessories would been $11300I guess that kind of says what I was saying that they price is not skyrocketing.
Especially during "bike week"SC has women too just saying, sometime you just have to trade rides
Well I hate to be the procurer of doom, but I'm about to switch to a jeep. Prices have gotten out of control. I can get a good off roader for the price of sxs with winch, etc.I understand the price hike for great leap forward, but we can't ride sxs on the road , forests in AL. Have to go to a ohv park.
Yes. I've found several for sell on Craig's list. Even a few true rock crawlers.cheaper than a new sidexside. My hang up is limited use with the sidexside. Like you said, a jeep can be used on road as well.I thought the same thing. My buddy has a sweet Jeep he paid 8500.00 for. Beat the pants off it then drives it home. No trailer needed
