P1000 Favorite tie down points?

I had thought about the planner but the boards ramset nailed down. And talk about trying to those out. Yeah Right!!!! They must weld themself in when they go through the metal

Just buy a 5/4 decking board if it's not fastened like mine was.
I don’t really like the idea of one board holding it.. but I like the your flush idea.

I have a plate at each of strip end that is bolted to the next board and it is bolted to each cross brace and screwed in between

JTW...I mentioned your d-rings in another post with Delton. It seems I remember a post where someone mounted d-rings on their front bumper (similar to yours on the back bumper). 1 3/4" exhaust clamps, right? D-rings from TSC? Will this be OK to do the same on the front?
I wouldn’t.. I’d drill and bolt the front

I use tire bonnets and like automobiles, it allows the suspension to work independently from the point of tie down...Shown is not my Pioneer, but rather an example, see link for details

I use ratchet straps in X pattern and use soft straps to connect to P1000. no scratches and can use just about anywhere. I use different trailers so each time is slightly different.

On way to rides when it’s clean it’s like this. On way home it’s around tires so the rims don’t get scratched.

Shock Therapy has a good video on how to strap down a utv, pretty much the lowest point you can that won’t move much, so the front and rear a-arms. I used to go to the frame but it’ll move with the suspension which can loose a strap enough to fall off. You also don’t compress the suspension when you strap to the a-arms, I use soft straps around them that The tie down then attaches to the soft strap.

I use Erickson Wheel Chock Tie-Down Kit on all four wheels even though i know its total over kill, these things work amazingly.

I used it for my 700 and readjusted them on my trailer for the 1000. Fast to strap down and allows the suspension to do its thing without the straps coming loose.

Always get as close to the tire as possible. It allows the suspension on your rig to work and the tires stay planted. Using the frame will allow the straps to go slack if/when you hit a large hole or bump, that can cause a hook to come off and now you have problems.

Before the e-track I would use the hitch and the frame just behind the front A-arms. I never liked the Honda way shown in the book or pulling on the A-arms.
I use the holes in the frame with a 3300# strap (w/ Hooks) and a strap around the hitch in the back, about 1500 miles of hauling so far and shes never moved. I would like to do etrack and bonnets but my trailer has an expanded metal floor, I like it to let the mud fall thru when I wash it.
