My 2016 Pioneer purchased July last year had the maintainence symbol recentlly light. The hour meter shows 95 hours and 600 miles on the ODO. I recently posted about milky subtrans oil, which I fixed with aftermarket vent kit and several oil changes.
This was my first engine oil change since purchase as the oil looked clean on the dipstick. After a short run to warm up engine oil I removed the engine oil plug, the hot oil went under skid plate, then finally into my drain pan below. Has anyone toyed with the idea of a short oil resistant hose which would permanently attach to engine case. When time to change oil pull excess hose through hole in skid plate and remove endcap. My inboard V-8 skiboat uses this type of idea for oil changes and it works great.
Similar issue with DCT oil change, how are you guys dealing with the oil running under skid plate?
On a seperate issue when checking oil level in engine; do you screw in dipstick?
