Ya, I'm on my 7 attempt finessing it.
I may end up altering the latch catch.
Check out the latch TMCCOY posted in post #24, fully adjustable and might be a workable solution. If you find one, let us know where.

that latch looks very similar to the one that bolts on a Yamaha YXZ Factory Spare Tire holder. May be able to work over??

I was just watching a useful trailer modifications video and the guy named these clamps, they're called Toggle Clamps. A quick innerweb search showed JWWINCO has a bunch of choices. GN852.3 looks like this exact clamp.

HOLY CRAP, they want $123.97 for ONE, I'm out.

He calls them toggle latches but I found the one pictured in toggle clamps.

I *believe* I have some locking A style clamps from a project. They have been sitting in my toolbox for 10+ years. I will confirm if I have them, then offer them to anyone here.

Where did you find those? They're much more reasonably priced. 😍

@CID how is your Dirt Road Fabrication bed extension holding up after all these years? I'm thinking of getting one with the high tire mount. Any rattles or anything?

My first one did extremely well no complaints at all. I was so happy with it when I got my next machine. I got another one. DRF DOES FANTASTIC WORK!

That's great to know! Are you still keeping it closed all the time, or do you open and close it now.
My setup is such that I don't need to open it so I don't. It would be simple to loosen things up but then I might introduce a rattle and the Talon makes enough mechanical noise that that's the last thing I want.
