Did you cut frame on hinge side?

Yep, it'll go on without trimming but you will have a gap where the warning label is indented. I cut off about a 1/2" when I installed mine.

Is there a gap at the base? I just bought this door and didn’t really look at the install, after I got it I noticed the bump out

Yes, I left the gap on the 2 sides. The lip going in covers the gap. I cut the frame at the line on frame to move it in bored 1/2” so it didn’t look funky on curve

Loved the idea of the marine access hatch. I trimmed the entire flange down, and mounted flush to the floor. Great mod, cheap, and very useful. I will be ‘water resisting’ the area next.
