This seems to work very well. No holes to drill. I used the existing bolt holes and converted to studs. I will see what more will cost I paid $125.00 with computer time. I think a duplicate will be $75. I do have more rubber I will donate

New to posting , but been searching the forum for several months . Finally purchased a 1000-5 and took it for a late night spin the other night. I definitely see what people have been taking about with the air flow coming through the shifters. Do you happen to have any of these still available, and if so, how much would it run me??

My SxS is up at our property. I'll try and remember to take some pics next time I'm up there. It was pretty simple though. I cut out a piece of foam about the same shape as shown in Montanas first post. Cut a slot with a sharp knife so the shift lever slides through it. Glue it on the backside of the panel. It stops all the heat. Cost is about .26 cents worth of glue.
How were you able to get to the back side in order to get it to line up correctly? Seems awful tight back there.

Just how hard is it to get the knobs off???
I tried a little but wasn't sure how hard to pull. After they come off do I need to add any glue when reinsyalling?

Just keep a steady hard pull and they will come off. It takes some effort, they are on there tight. You dont need to add any type adhesive to put back on because they will be just as hard to pull off a second time. Just don't pull toward your nose as I did, was not pleasant.

The material is a foamed PVC. Helps if it is warm like setting out in the sun for several hours.
Blowing a hair dryer on it for 20 seconds will not get the middle warmed up.
If its a cold day (like in Ohio) forget it.

Got them off! I did figure out to put the machine in high and 2wd positions. It helps get a straight pull on the handles.
Thanks guys
