Isn’t that where the seat belt bolts too from the other side? Top of the 3 point triangle systemWhat is the purpose of these threaded bolt holes on either side of my 1000-3 roll bar?

The seat belt does attach on the opposite side of the bar and the two holes look to be in alignment but the seat belt bolt only goes in about midway leaving a fully useable threaded hole on the other side. I have 1” bolts in the holes now just to plug them. Just figured they were intended for something?Isn’t that where the seat belt bolts too from the other side? Top of the 3 point triangle system
Probably for some kind of Honda accessory like @Vikes79 mentioned. The seat belt does attach on the opposite side of the bar and the two holes look to be in alignment but the seat belt bolt only goes in about midway leaving a fully useable threaded hole on the other side. Talons are the same way, upper seatbelt mount on the inside and open, threaded hole on the outside. The seat belt does attach on the opposite side of the bar and the two holes look to be in alignment but the seat belt bolt only goes in about midway leaving a fully useable threaded hole on the other side. P1K5 here. Ok, so what size bolt/thread did you use? After I excavated the mud in the holes and drenched them with PB blaster I can't tell if I'm cross threading a bolt or encountering rust and more mud. If I knew the correct size I'd try chasing the threads with a bottom tap. I always assumed they were there to convey the parts through the E-stat paint booth.Shipping tie down point and doubles as a side light, accessory mount. That's my guess.
I put bolts in mine.
I dont remember. But they are standard threads. Seat belt bolts have some laws governing them and one is that they be a special thread, standard. Its posted her somewhere I know.P1K5 here. This is correct.Found the info -
7/16-20 NF thread pitch, they are the only non-metric threads on the entire machine as far as I know of.
You'd better or I'll tag Sheriff @Remington and he'll fine you, bigley.... I have plans to use them as part of a fabricated assembly as yet to be designed. I'll attach photos once I get it finalized.
