It’s been a year and a half since I did mine.. as I’ve thought about it. It was the unit not working that gave me issues (Obviously).. not the wiring. I had wiring issues because the box didn’t work. I swapped things around and around until I finally ordered another remote and it all went smooth.
Most people thatve had trouble with their remotes reported box would click but not activate the winch.

That’s my issue but not sure I wired it correctly. I connected all of the remote control box wires to the solenoid. Wonder if I should splice the two “output” wires mentioned in the instructions to the same wires the rocker switch is connected to........

Well, if the rocker switch you're referring to is the one that controls the directional operation of the winch, then, yes. But why splice the wires? Why not just connect the Yellow and White wires to the same terminals on the solenoid as the rocker switch wires are attached to?

If what I wrote does not make sense, then one of us misunderstands the present situation and it would be best to stop and figure it out before hooking up wires.

Good luck!

Remove your 2 signal wires from winch solenoid. Check for voltage with test light while pressing the in or out button. If you dont have voltage, good chance your remote is bad.

Or the remote just has a weak/dead battery. Mine came out of the box that way... took way too long to figure that out. :-|
True didnt think of that. My original lasted well over 2 years so guess i was lucky

Just checked battery in my keychain controller and its finally dead. Tiny 27a 12v though so its really cheap and easy to find. Guess i jinxed myself.
