Picked up my 1K5 Deluxe last Thursday. Didn't notice anything until I read your post. I have the Armstrongs on my S x S, too. Is this a good trade off? The dealership did not say anything about it.

Manufacture’s website says 6 ply on the 2.0s
I know what the manufacturer spec says but the "honda" tires are special 2.0s. They are only 4ply which many people have found their downfall. The boot I had to install in my rear tire after a railroad spike went through, proves they are a little on the weak side. Hope the Armstrongs are a better upgrade.

I talked to American Honda this week about the Dirt Master tires being supplied with the 1000-5D versus the Big Horns. As suspected, Honda said there was a supply issue and some Deluxe models were supplied with the OTR Wheel Engineering Dirt Master tires. When Honda made this switch they sent a memo to all dealers. Dealers that claim ignorance are not being truthful.
