Where you're jumping 2 to 8, i just have key on power going to 8. I'm not an electrician by know means. What little i know or think I know, I've learned on here. So don't take everyth I say as 100% correct lol

Actually my 5 pin switches are different than yours. The top two connectors were negative and bottom right was key on but its still the same concept.

Ya.
There are several different switch wiring layouts.

I think u can use a jumper for 6 and 7 negative.

So, I jumped 6&7 and grounded to my fuse panel and 2&8 and ran to hot side of fuse panel and 3 went to my back lights. I think all is good now! If there is something I did wrong please feel free to chime in. I have 2 more switches to install at some point, 1 for radio and other for front bar light.

Ya.
There are several different switch wiring layouts.

I think so but I think it would have been easier to install all the switches at one time so you can jump wires from one switch to another. I think! Lol

What were you missing? The ground wire back to the fuse block from the light grounds?

I was trying to wire it like this.

I ended up having to jump 6&7 and 2&8. That made top light on switch light up all the time and bar comes on with switch on.

I may try to get ahold of otr just to see if there’s something I’m missing, it seems like I did a lot of unnecessary jumping.

OTR is just a reseller of Carling brand switches.
Its the style, model, and configuration that's different.

Make a relay board first if your battery is under the drivers seat. Than you can place it under the hood and run all your wires from your switches and you secondary battery. Nice and clean
