I found myself using the talon more in the winter, in MN we haven't had much snow the last couple of years and had more trails open up for winter riding. I convert mine to a winter mode with the original doors and Honda soft cab, I use the aluminum doors and keep things open in the summer. While the soft cab helps with wind I found myself wanting heat and didn't really have room for the OEM or other options that tap into the coolest. Plus they are limited to the machine, I was intrigued with the diesel heater idea. So on Black Friday I took the leap and bought the HCalory TB2 Toolbox 2, shameless plug use code GEAR8 if you want one.

I was looking for something to add to a PACKOUT box but kept seeing the expense add up for conversion kits and parts, then I thought I bet I could mount the Toolbox2 to a packout base. This ended up turning out really great, easy to remove for the summer or move over to tent for camping with just a screwdriver to remove the hose clamp. I will probably add another thumbscrew hose clamp to make things a little easier.

I will link below to some supplies as well if you're interested in DIY.

Gear and Supplies:
Hcalory TB2 Toolbox2 Heater - Use Code GEAR8
CO Detector
3.0 Tube Coupler
3.5 to 3.0 Stainless Reducer
3 Inch Insulation Hose
Hose Clamps with Thumbscrews
3” Top Hat Flange
3” Splitter and Hose Kit
PACKOUT Base

Did you seal up the doors to help keep the heat in?

I have the AlaskaSXS seal kit, it helped a fair amount. Im not sure what to think of the kit yet though, it’s expensive and there are spots that are coming out from the doors that I might have to glue in to hold.

The video is my setup, so that is my exact setup ha ha. Not sure what you’re asking.
You didnt say that was "your" set up and you in the LubeTube vidgea at that time. You just threw that up there as where you got it from. Thanks that does help but however Knowbody's set up is exactly the same as another's so we just would like to see YOURS. Was being nice about it but now....POIDH! 😉

Nice video sir! I have one of these little heaters, used it on our P5 with tracks for a couple years, worked great. It's on my tractor now, much cheaper & easier than than a coolant heater.

That's some sort of SE Michigan Hillbilly gibberish 😆
Actually its Alberta Canada gibberish from Zip Ties N Bias Plys.
He called youtube that cuz of all the wanna be tradesmen homowners telling everyone they know how to fix stuff while rock hard about it lol. Its just a slang.
Its a trades thing, you wouldn't understand
