P1000 4500lb winch fuse

popped an 80A fuse last night pulling out an F350. Ended up snatching on it to get it out. Just wondering what you guys are running for your larger 4500 5000 winches?

Good question, I'll have to check that

80 amps isn't much because these 4500lb winches can draw 300 amps just prior to stalling them.

Oh yeah, I meant to say that I'm not using a fuse right now but if I were to, I would get a 250-300 amp breaker.
