New for 2022:
Sealed Cabin: On all Pioneer 1000 versions, a number of measures were taken to isolate the driver and passengers from engine heat, as well as external debris and moisture.

I love this one. Have a 2021 and the seat can get so hot. Sounds like they made it a priority to improve the cabin comfort. I would have loved to see an improvement to the cab enclosure so I can properly enclose the cab for winter use.

Don't get your hopes up on that. I bet it's very minimal at best.

Those parts were mentioned by @HondaTech a few months back, and yes - all parts are available to update your subtrans. It's mentioned in the later pages of my subtrans thread.

One thing I'm not clear on - did they change the reverse gears, or does one still need to swap in Talon reverse gears if you want a lower reverse?

I dont remember seeing any thing about updated gear ratios in that thread. Just the few updated parts to address the low/reverse grinding. This announcement says updated gear ratio.

From what ive seen, they added plastic under thr seat instead of the rubber. Added seals to the airbox cover and a panel in front of the rear passenger footwell.

I dont remember seeing any thing about updated gear ratios in that thread. Just the few updated parts to address the low/reverse grinding. This announcement says updated gear ratio.

Fix the low/reverse issue, which they have. Fix the font upper a-arm issue, which they have. Some real wheel travel, they didn’t. A truly low range, they didn't. If they would've addressed those last 2 issues, i would upgrade my Pioneer for sure.

It just won't be low enough for crawling the roughest stuff. I just wish it had a really low range. But it will be a lot better machine than I have for sure.

Interested to see what they've done here since there's not much room at all in the case. I'd tear mine back out again if there was any improvement in low.

It's there on the Deluxe models. It's just black like the sticker. You can see it if you look closely:

Well hell, I've already bought the talon reverse gears. With my luck, I'm sure the new pioneer gears will be even lower and I just wasted my money on the talon gears.

Well, for the record the reverse drive gear on the '18 Pioneer was 27 tooth, and the Talon gear I replaced it with was 25 tooth. The reverse idle gear was listed as 16/20 for the Pioneer, replaced with a 16/22 for the Talon.

I haven't seen tooth counts on the 22's gears yet.

The reverse idle is 16/22 but a different part number. The reverse gear is a 25, and both are the same for 22 Talons as well.

I was referring to some of the gears being the same for Talon and Pioneer and some not.

High on the '22 Pioneer is not the same as '22/'21 Talon.
Low is different as well, '22 Pioneer is different then '21 Pioneer snd '21/'22 Talon

Some gears in the main trans are not shared either and some are.

I think if they would have addressed wheel travel, reverse and the A-arm tabs along with what they’ve already done it would have been a major improvement.
