gradesSorry, those are the numbers you add together to get a code. Short blinks are equal to 1 digit and long blinks are early to 10 digits.

Example:
5 long blinks
7 short blinks
Would give you code 57.
Hey Mr Honda Tech, I've been chasing a burnt oil smell for a while, no oil on the shop floor, motor that I can see or skid plate. Dad was riding with me last week and said it smelled like crank case ventilation oil. What's weird is it gets stinky on long down hill grades with no braking? With throttle applied no smell?

The only crankcase vent on the Pioneer is in the valve cover, vents directly to the airbox. Might check and see if it's come on either end. I've seen them left off and they don't make enough of a mess usually to show an oil leak.

Problem solved. I had installed a wiring kit to the subtrans harness to activate a backup light. I removed it and everything is back to normal. I tried to re install it and the same problem and no no pins were bent. I made sure to seat both ends all the way. At least it runs now.
