Isn't it though. I was making a sailor blush as I installed mine

I'm in the process myself. Had to come inside and work out On my bowflex to forget about it Lol. What methods or method did you use to drill the holes? Mine doesn't have the holes:mad:

I got lucky and mine had holes. I've added so much electrical crap under the hood, I would not have installed it if I did not have the holes.

I can say that from looking at things, unless you remove the radiator, you probably need a right angle drill to drill the holes

That's what I was thinking about the right angle drill. I got so much electrical that I'd have to remove it to even get the front top off. I think walking away this evening will give me some time to re think how to do this.

You might try this instead https://amazon.com/3M-03609-Scotch-Mount-Molding-Tape/dp/B000BO913C/?tag=sxsweb24-20

I have used it before and it really works. Or use some 3M 5200 marine sealer and clamp it in place until it dries. In either case, you will likely destroy the plastic piece if you ever remove it (a ceertainty with the 5200)

That's a hell of an Idea. It kinda crossed my mind but flew on by like a F18 in a fire fight. Lol. I might have to look into that. From the post it's seems to work so I don't plan on taking it off. Too hard to put on anyway lol

I got my tape at AutoZone. It is the second strongest level and it works good and is easy.

The 5200 is messy but is stronger

Do you think the tape will do it? Or should I get both just in case?

After 30 minutes of trying, I installed the passenger side push pin backwards.

Also had the same issue with pins for the rubber, take the plastic piece with you to Lowe's. I found some "Ford" plastic body variable depth pins that worked perfectly

I drilled the holes in the plastic for the rubber out to 6mm and installed the regular push pins

With all the heat coming from the seat, I never noticed heat from the dash.

A die grinder with a pointed tip carbide Burr would probably work instead of a 90° drill as well. You just need to be careful to hold it in place for a round hole

The dash was pretty warm around the shifters and the air flow over your arms while driving is coming from the shifter holes. Removing the hot air flow from the shift holes definitely reduces the overall warm air inside the cab. I have not tried my windshield again since adding the deflector but it might be worth another try

Thanks I thought of that, because of the small hole in my die grinder, I'd have to grind down my step bit quite a ways to make it fit. Still might try it anyway.

I was thinking something more like this.
Forney 60126 Tungsten Carbide Burr with 1/4-Inch Shank, Tree Pointed, 1/4-Inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003X432C8/?tag=sxsweb24-20

Since I couldn't really get a center punch down there I started my holes with a similar bit before switching to the unibit

Theres only one bad thing about all these heat fixes....winter is coming!
Dont know about you but i thoroughly enjoy the heat in the winter. All of my heat fixes are easily reversible. Something to consider before making it permanent . Just my 2 cents.

Cannot use both. I think the tape will do. Degrease both surfaces first.

Good point. I don't use it too much in the winter, but the amount that I do I just shut down the bilge fan and I usually get enough heat to satisfy. Just me.

It's just 3 push pins of it's installed like the factory one. I doubt you would notice the heat with gloves and a jacket on either

Warranty renewal is almost here, I'm hesitant to spend any more money with Honda, when they haven't fixed current issues, HEAT! Honda Corp. is a piece of SH**
