P1000 WOW, what a site.......Newbie here

After spending endless hours on the site, all I gotta say is WOW. Wife and I pick up our new to us 2016 1000-5 delux camo this weekend, it has 1600 miles and 150 hrs. Any words of wisdom or advise from those that have owned their's for a while now?? Its going to be real hard not to accessorize this damn thing..lol. From what it looks like, its an addiction . Anyways happy to have found the site and look forward to researching further and making some mods. Take Care.

Glad you found us. Lots of info and even more insanity.

First add would be a winch to get you out of where you shouldn't have gone.
Second add would be a pressure washer to remove the stuff from where you shouldn't have gone!

Air intake and clutch updates would be next and then............

Great advice above, and would add, give it a full service so you have a baseline, i.e., spark plugs, air filter, engine oil (filter) and differential fluids. The first add on would be a winch and my preference would be with a synthetic rope vs. cable....

Thanks for all the replies guys. Picked up Saturday, had a few cosmetic issues that weren't disclosed, but still a 9 out of 10. For those that gave me good advise, these are the things that are already on the machine

Superwinch w/synthetic rope
12" LED on front with rocker switch
Honda full windshield with lower tilt out
Full roof.

The clutch update has Already been done. The tires are pretty beat up. A lot of miles on pavement and 3 or 4 plugs that I could readily see. I plan on getting it in this week for service, oil/filter changes and gonna order the comfort package for the heat issue. Will need to address the tire issue before too long. She rode good drove around buddies farm well on Sunday. Gotta research the rattle issues on front windshield though.

Extended back tailgate rack???

All in all wife and I are excited....
