Thoughts?

Vehicle wont advance out of second gear in H/L after big hit to front skid plate. Can occasionally make it into 3rd or 4th, but triggers same fault below.

Hit back side of a sand wash out doing about 65. Started intermittently right after then full time. Checked front wheel speed sensors no viz damage.

Will eventually trigger flashing clutch with no codes, and ---- through gear display and flashing AT/MT. Will not idle in gear once warning triggered.

Flashing displays /warning go away when engine shutdown.

Thinking its rear wheel speed on subtrans or electric shift control motor. Ideas?

How old is the battery?

What you describe could be related to weak battery or poor grounds. Put the battery on a charger for a bit …if the issue goes away for a short period it’s the battery. Check that the grounds are clean and tight.

Ive seen the speed sensor in the sub trans do this. No code, just won't shift.

Not sure how hitting the front would cause that, you could check the sensor in the rear of the front diff as well.
