So....... is the $100 difference in the hard coat poly windshield vs the glass windshield worth the money? I guess the question should be which windshield do you guys prefer?

It all is a personal preference. Depends on if you mind staring through scratches. I know some members on here have been working on making vents for the glass one. Ive had my hard coat plastic one since last sept. Its got a few good scratches and at this rate it might last a year befor i cant take it any more.

I haven't bought one yet, but IF I were buying today, I'd get glass for the cold wet times, and run without a windshield the other 9 months (here in Mississippi)

I had a 1/2 on my P500 and I hated the dust storm it caused to your dash and in your eyes.

Honda hard coat split is what I have works good but you have to clean it correctly and don't plow through the woods like a boldozer.

All my scratches have came from low hanging branches on a trail. Not just out " bull dozing"

Totally agree. It's all personal preference. I just installed the 2 piece hard coat poly, only for ease of removal in summer time. Would have loved the glass, but the poly is easy enough for the wife and kids to remove when I'm out to work. They prefer no top and no windows...i prefer to be dry in the event the weather changes, which in northern Michigan, is a common occurrence. Best of luck in your search.

Btw, anyone adding vents (even though the 2 piece flips out, it's not enough to make a difference), add some pics of your mods so we can see how ya did it.

I just installed the wind deflector or 1/2 windshield. Haven't had it out yet, but here in AZ im not sure i would use a full. But if i did i would prob want glass.

As wet as it is here or as cold as it is in the winter, (5* right now) a full windshield is in order.

Vermont's bugs are no match for some good southern skeeters. Ours taste better

You should try them fried in Maple syrup!
