Who would trade their p5 in if the 2021 comes out with the 520 engine and a few other improvements like front locker and more suspension travel... Bottom line what would it take for you to trade?

I do not think we would trade ours in. It is part of the family now.

I personally been trying to buy a 2020 model but where I live they want 10700 out the door I think that’s a little high from what others have said they paid for theirs on here.. They are hard to find right now due to the production of them since COVID hit

Even if it had a real skid plate, power steering, selectable front locker, the 520 engine and Elka or Walker Evans shocks it wouldn't sway me to upgrade to the new and improved P5. All would be welcome upgrades over the current model of course. I just wouldn't be at the dealership buying one.

Not me! I paid $8,648.00 OTD for my 2016 in Dec. of 2015, and have spent zero $ on anything other than maintenance. It still has the original battery. It has done everything I asked it to do. If I do get another SXS , I will probably get a bigger one and I'll keep the 500.

Too much invested in mods. DCT would be nice but I use Paddles 99% of riding time. The 1% in Auto shift is just to see if it still works. Just sold my 1996 atv, so I keep my stuff a long time. Guess my next SxS purchase will have the Hover transmission and flux capacitor power.
Adding the Torq locker and Power Steering made my P500 a keeper.

It would be cheaper for me to add the locker and power steering than it would be to eat the cost of trading it in on a new one.the extra power would be nice but the 500 has done everything I’ve ask of it very well.

I'll let you all know how that's working out when I get back in 2021.

I offered $9500 out the door for a 2020 model and they pretty much laughed in my face.

Great question to ponder. For me... not. Maybe buy the ‘21 as a spare...😂🤣😝. Would have to ride them together to see direct benefit, with mods I have now would be hard to see the ‘21 that much better. 45cc maybe 3 more ponies and a couple more for torque. Dual Clutch might shift quicker smoother, auto mode means nothing to me. Would have to be some pretty robust shocks to top my stage 3 Elkas. Powers steering and locker here in Canada is nearly double cost compared to lower 48, even so, would be significantly less then differential for my beater ‘15 (bought autumn of ‘14) on a trade in. Plus would be like getting rid of a family member.... although I’m likin’ the spare rationale... mmmm... to convince the other half, would help with my desire for a tilt bed 18’ aluminum 12,000 GVW tandem axle trailer...
