I was thinking about doing the Colorado and Wyoming backcountry discovery routes. But Colorado may need to be done in September due to high mountain passes and snow. The same logic would apply to the Alpine Loop and Taylor Park Reservoir areas like we did last time.

It's customary to have Trail Ridge Road open for Memorial Day but that ain't happenin' this year ... too much snow. There's another major route that won't make it either, maybe Independence Pass between Aspen and Leadville - not sure on that one, I missed it.

Mount Evans and Pikes Peak still have mid winter snow cover.
