Who’s actually building there own stuff ? Or everyone buying bolt ons. I try and build the majority of my own stuff, having a Cnc plasma table helps a fair bit though. Looking at all the “off the shelf” parts looks like most is fairly simple to fab up. First up for me will be a custom cage so I can get it in my enclosed trailer.

I'm going to build a tailgate extender for mine. Haven't found one that extends back as far as I'm needing and I can build it a lot cheaper.

You bet...I build stuff...whatever I want...some things turn out better than others but they all mostly work. I need a rear roll bar over the back of the 700 bed. A muffler shop will do the bends and I weld it up...been doing it since my first one on a VW beach buggy in 1970. Just built a canoe and kayak trailer for my 17' Esquif Cargo 16' Old Town Penobscott and 2 kayaks...beats putting them on the roof and too big for the truck beds.

I build most of my own stuff. So far front bumper and rock sliders.
Next on the list is to pull the dump bed and build an overland bed/ rack system

Just looking for some design ideas for what works and what don't.

This is the gear box for my 700-2 del
What did you make your top out of? I've kinda stole your idea. we just get a lot of wet weather hear. and I spend 5 to 6 weeks every fall at hunting camp so I need to figure out something that will hold up to snow and water setting on it
