Guys, what do y’all think about this wheel with its mud lite 2s? Wanting solid black wheel as close to stock as I can get. I think these are 4+3 in the matte black. 14x9. Mainly in mud at the hunting camp.

How much wider than stock will I be and what size spacer will I need in back to square things up?

I had a set of those tires on a 4 Wheeler. They got around really well but were a softer compound so they aren't going to last a real long time.

Any recommendations. I don’t purposefully mud ride. Our hunting camp has some slick stuff. Just want something better than stock.

Thanks for input on directional. I’m not in mud all the time but when I am it’s some slick stuff and can stick to the tires and build up. Where I hunt it can be wet and muddy one day and in a day it can dry to be like hard pack. I really don’t want a dedicated mud tire. I guess I’m looking for a good all terrain that can handle a little mud .

Changed my mind on wheel again. Fuel makes a 4/136. Anyone know what 38 means. They list that as there offset.

Probably 38mm which is about 1.5".

Should be a 5+2.

Good. Trying to stay close to stock.
Race Line wheels, you can get 6+1 for the front and 5+2 for the back off set rims and you will be stock width front and rear with no spacers and I run the EVO Black Waters also, good tires, no pinch flats on this set 1800 miles of trails. These tires you can run at 0 PSI to get back to camp.

this is where the mudlite 2 is the best, also not directional- that was more the old bias one, new one is a smooth as stock radial for mixed conditions, not going to be the best at heavy stuff but it does surprisingly well, at thick/stickystuff, I haul wood all the time through a bunch of that, trail ride too and I would recommend the 12 inch rim that always gives a better ride. not the type to go around, I always go through the holes, we went to mud parks and stuff and only been stuck once since I got them last trail ride I went through this black crap that sticks real bad in the shade and rain and your tires end up plugged but they did when I had megas on my rhino too

If you like the mud lite take a look at the new bear claws. I think they better and a little more durable.

I don't think they would clear as well, the mud lites have more open space and there is ribs to clear it out to the side, also been my third set of mud lites they always last thousands of miles driving like I stole it without plugs or balancing. the cheaper ones you never know but I'm pretty sure the bear claws are expensive too like all the maxxis tires

I had the ITP mudlite xtr on my Foreman and never got stuck in those. Gut feeling is to stick to with something I’m used to. Just thinking may weigh a little less than evos.

ur right, and the tests are never really relevant done in the hard dry west, they don't have mud or don't have a lot of the tires.

had the 27 xtr on my can am and bias one on my prairie for 12 years and 4k before I sold the bike. the only think I didn't like about the xtr is heavy but handled good(smooth and quiet on hard stuff) and awesome in mud and snow, these feel a lot like those but the 27x12 I cant feel on the 700 so you certainly wont on the 1000, its like they took all the good stuff of the xtr and made it a little better, with the clearing ribs and stuff

Ok. Gonna do itp mudlite 2 on sti hd6 matte black.
Wheels-14” 5+2 offset
Tires- 27”x14”
Should I do 14x11” all the way around or 14x7” in front? Will steering be any different in front with 14x11 or any scrubbing?
