P1000 What kind of trailer do you use to transport your P1k and what do you pull it with?

I use a 20' Maxxd N5X, with 6 ft pull outs, that I also use to haul my classic car, rental equipment, etc. It's a bit big but flexible in use. I figure that Pioneer #2 is likely soon ;), given my wife's love of our first one, so we'll have plenty of room. Pull with a Tundra CrewMax 5.7 4x4 with trailering package.

You may not have noticed but your floor has a big hole in it...

Can I make a suggestion? Mount the tire straps to the rear tires or rearmost tires on the trailer. God forbid you are in an accident, it could be possible for the machine to flip over forward. I suppose a way to keep that set up would be to strap down the rear of the machine and maybe there is one back there out of view.

I use a 6.5 x 12 utility trailer with a fold down ramp, bearing buddies and a wood floor. It doubles as a trailer that the Pioneer can pull around here for work around the yard/farm. I pull it with a Hemi Ram 1500 8speed with 3.92 gears.

I just got a new wrangler unlimited and it's got the power to pull the pioneer on my tilt bed steel trailer but doesn't feel like it handles it well. I made some quick moves and the load really manhandled the jeep, so I guess my sierra crew will continue tow duty, disappointed for sure.

Let not your hart be troubled. That pic was a dry run for marking the same strap set up for the rear ;) I don’t take pics of my machine on my trailer often, looks gay... that’s the only pic I had

You had me worried with this reply. I've been using my 2000 Silverado or our 2000 2500 suburban depending on how many were going. Both vehicles are getting a bit long in the tooth so we just bought my wife a new JK unlimited. They aren't dealing on JL yet. I have a Sam's club 6x10 and the wrangler has the tow package. We towed 350 miles to Royal Blue today and it felt great. We had zero issues with the semis or the rough roads and construction. Do you have a lift or oversize tires? Ours was as stable as either larger vehicle.

All depends where that axle is and how much weight you have where on the trailer. I’m guessing his needed a little more tongue weight.

Had zero issues dragging it to RRB in April. As long as you remove the windshield from the machine. It struggled to hit 80 with the windshield, removed it and had no problems.

I just bought a 12ft aluminum flatbed trailer with a 4ft pullout loading ramp and will be pulling it with a Ram 1500 ECO Diesel. My old trailer had a flip up ramp and I think it will help with mileage not having a sail/wind break following behind the truck.
I had a 14 ft landscape trailer but you have to be careful if you have any doors or windshield on when travelling. I now have a 27ft enclosed car hauler as when I was travelling two years ago, I spent an overnight at a hotel under a light post with camera and thief's came in and stole the trailer and 1000-5 right off the truck. Never again. unit is GPS'd and now it's in a trailer out of sight and out of mind. Nobody will be able to lift the trailer off the ball either because of the weight of it. LOL Eventually will be turning the car hauler into a toy hauler so I don't have to have the commercial sticker on it.

Hope you don't experience what I did.
