Agree with that...hoping September doesn't swap places with November.

Last night we got a "nice thunderstorm"...meaning lots of thunder/lightning and tons of rain but no dry lightning that could start a fire.

I never had much luck using a bush hog to cut grass in pastures. Swing blades just seem to push the grass out of the way and maybe cut the seed tops. Good luck!!
I used it in my yard, out of control! HA!

Starting see little, small changes in weather. Tropics are starting to fire up a little. Cool front coming in midweek to push humidity out that we are going to have tomorrow and Tuesday. We have some vines on a tree in back yard that is first to start changing colors every year. I noticed few minutes ago it is starting to change a little.

Any changes in color of leaves up that way yet @lowrider @Caper ?

Crab apple trees are turning purple and the cherry trees are loosing leaves. Seems they know better than the calendar. Just discussing over Sonoran clam chowder for dinner if it's going to be a hard Winter??? My bet was yip...winter will be early and last long. We'll see.

Yea, won’t be long now‼️ Only 92 here in the East Texas piney woods!! Tallow trees and black gums losing leaves… but that may be from lack of rain‼️🤣

I believe we are in for for a winter this year after a hot and extremely dry July, seems as though that's how it works. Not looking forward to it but I've got a 4 WD tractor now, We had a snow 2 footer several years ago, I got out early after the snow ceased and after I found my blade in a 5 foot snow drift I bladed the drive with my 51 8N with Turf tires, the snow was powder though, but under that was 1 inch of ice, after I got the ice exposed to the sun it went away pretty quickly.

One year in my old house right at the base of the Selkirk's (mountains) we had a 116" of snow and they had hundreds on top of the mountains. One reason We moved. All the snow didn't melt until July. Most I've had here is about 30" for the winter and it was gone in March. I do like my heated cab for blowing snow!!!

39F and now 76F and 22%H NO rain...just blue skies. We have been getting smoke but not bad. Deer are eating everything they can reach that the turkeys haven't gotten already.

No rain at work. Got home yesterday. Had come good rain here. Pine straw and little oak leaves in road. You could tell it had rained hard too.

SE Texas has had a plenty for now, thank you! South Texas brush country finally got some much needed rains and they came down almost perfectly... Good rain that was steady for a while then later on over a period of about 10 days, nice deluge that fell quickly. This fills the dirt tanks. Many were bone dry... Good slow rain to get 'em wet and seal up again, then a fast high volume rain that has good runoff to fill 'em up... That's what we got... Bufflegrass in 10 days went from dead dirty stumps to 3' tall and developing seed heads!!
