My Stihl trimmer had 10 minutes of run time in 5 years. Stihl was no help and it spent hours in the shop. Nobody could figure how why that thing wouldnt run. You could pull the rope till you died of a heart attack.
We had a stihl 044 at one duty station I worked at that new out of the box wouldnt run right. If you didnt get it started the first pull then it would not start the rest of the day. My husky saws have never seen the shop. I need to probably take one in. Dropped a tree on it and the kill switch doesnt work but you can choke it out.
sounds more like tech issue than saw, you have to mess with the carb settings to make it start and run easy, every time the temp changes. once you do that and put in e3 plugs starts in 2 or 3 pulls every time. seems to start easier if I don't hit the comp release too. the dealer here is pretty good he went through everything with me when I bought it too
