I had 2 1996 polaris indy trails, 488 fans, very reliable but not that fast. 65 top speed. but still fun. Sold them last year and bought a Talon. We have not had any decent snow in 3-4 years.

We don't call it Minn-NO-SNOW-ta for no reason :( Our winters aren't getting any better either, we will get snow and lots of it but it's coming later and leaving earlier. Years ago we would've had a couple feet on the ground by now, the last five we haven't had enough to ride until Xmas or later. Currently we have about a 1/4" of snowcover, not even enough to cover the grass. I probably won't ever buy another new one again, it's part of what pushed us into getting quads & then SxS's......still gotta ride!

we usually plow a track on the lake and run the quads with some studded tires but even the ice has sucked the last couple years. I was afraid my plow truck would fall thru. looks like its the frozen ground / winter atv trails. Has anyone found a cover for the Talon that can be used on an open trailer? I hate to get the Talon all salted up.
