Not having seen the back of a panel in quite some time, but I would bet you could take a piece of sheet metal, bend tabs in it and pop rivet it into place on some of the back side webbing. or if you don't mind drilling the panel, couple pop rivets thru the face.

Just looked at the backside picture you posted. Can you insert some dowels into the reliefs molded in?

Cheap = tig some wing nuts on your existing bolts.

They need at least a couple mechanical fasteners to keep them from blowing off if hauled on an open trailer or from being rubbed off in the woods. Even though that last one really is a good time!

Excellent idea. I have a couple of those in my kayak as we speak. It would be better to keep things dry even if it is just some tow straps or ratchet straps.

You know... cause your dead set on the dirty magazines lol

I’ll try the Velcro and use two thumb screws per panel for just incase.

Now how do I make the hook and loop and stick to the plastic reliably thru winter and summer? Use adhesion promoter? Of coarse it needs to be scuffed.

Give some thought to either pop riveting a piece of sheet metal to the door and stick to that, or scuff door, clean with alcohol, apply velcro, pop rivet in place?

It would be easy on the door because I can reach behind. I can use some washers on both sides of the rivets. Not so sure I want to do that on the color sides of my vehicle because they look so pretty!

What if you scrap the velcro idea?
Grab a piano hinge, and hinge the red near the ROPS in the above picture? some nice stainless button head screws shouldn't look too tacky.
Drop of red loctite on a 10x24x1/4"-5/16" screw and run the nuts on. pop rivet or use screw on door.
Or bolt from inside out and use acorn nuts or nylon lock nuts?

I thought about the hinge but I would only be able to use about 2 inches of it or there would be a lot of the hinge visible. There’s just not a flat side to use it on.
