Trailer Prices are nuts

I've had a 18' enclosed Sure Trac trailer on order for 6 months now. Thought when I ordered it I would have all of the winter to get it ready for my pioneer. Oh Well. . . . .

So I decide to wait to get a utility trailer last fall and picked one up today, steal trailers are more expensive then aluminum trailers today! I picked up a Carry-on 6x12 aluminum for $2399 and I’m seeing 6x12 steal trailers for $2400-$2600, that’s just crazy.

Did aluminum not have a price spike like steal?

I like the enclosed trailers, as I got ripped off with my open trailer a few years ago. So I custom ordered last summer 2000 for a 8x14 enclosed with tandem axles rated at 5000 lbs for 6800$. Oh yep, it also had extended drawbar.

There is a used car dealer in Jefferson city MO called Gilmore Used Cars. He is a rivercraft dealer. Last time I spoke with him he had 18ft double axle for $2800 and 12ft single axle for 1650.

If you think open trailer prices are high, trying buying an enclosed all aluminum tandem axle right now. I had to sell a kidney.
