Wouldn't think so but I just don't ever wont one to turn on me and half to drill it out on the trail or something

I would just put it on with self tappers for now you'll get a least a year out of it then have holes to work from !!

I'd do the 3rd line.
5/16" is at least one full diameter of thread engagement.

So when I was looking at skids, I called and talked to TrailArmor about how FactoryUTV was cheaper and how I liked the one piece center design. I asked what was the benefit of multiple pieces over the other and the guy says to me “if you break the one piece center and they don’t cover it, you’ll have to buy the piece and it’s going to cost you more than one of our pieces”. Thats what I based my purchase on.

FUTV is a better skid for anyone new watching the thread for the Pioneer. Only 3 pieces instead of 5. Locktite all the bolts and good. I've beat the holy s*** out of mine and its great. I do have a Trail armor on my YXZ because the price was better and design similar and has been fine. I will say I think the Trail Armor skids are harder like the recycled plastic I've dealt with vs the FUTV skid.

Unfortunately nothing is perfect, I broke a piece of Trail Armor when I had my 700-4. They were good to me and that’s really what matters to me personally. I still like the one piece center that FUTV offers though.
