Welcome from North Alabama. Definitely would consider a skid plate. Even If you don’t plan on rock climbing there is usually some rock on most trails in the southeast. Would consider a winch too. You might not ever need it but better to have it especially if you will be riding by yourself.

Well my wife and I pulled the trigger on a 400 mile 2023 R.

We know very little about the sxs world but I have ridden sport quads for years.

Hoping to learn from the experience here on the forum.

Would like to know about any group rides in or around GA.

Also, not gonna be hill climbing or serious rock crawling, any “must haves” before we hit the trails?

I think Iron Mountain OHV park is fairly close to you. You're a few hrs away from some nice areas either way though. Indian Mtn, Coalmont, Prentice Cooper, Franklin State Forest, some others in Alabama/GA line too.

Welcome from Floriduh. Indian Mt is good as Backwoods said. Talking to a guy over the weekend that rides in W Virginia and Tennessee said Iron Mt in Georgia was also good

There is a place near Section but I believe it’s more for rock climbing. Best that’s closest is Indian Mountain. There is a place near Cullman Al called Stoney Lonesome. Pretty good but I prefer Indian Mountain. Do some searches on takeover on here. Best place to ride nearest us. Close to Knoxville.

Same. Some people love the place but it’s always just been ok to me. Indian mountain is a one of the better ones around here to me. Also in Talladega there is Top Trails. It used to be an old Army base and you can camp in the old bunkers. It doesn’t really have difficult trails so it’s more of a relaxing ride. Does have some hills and water.

Welcome from West central fl. Sorry didn't see what kinda sxs did you purchase? I ride in Ocala fl. national forest. It's worth a try once from your location. Wife and I enjoy the area.

It’s a 23RS, while I know I missed out on the goodies in a full blown 23 I’m happy with it. Pretty “loaded” with quite a few of the Honda goodies, including the Honda accessory panels, heater, windshield and back. I think first up is some trail armor, a winch and a dual battery setup on full isolator. In short all the things necessary to avoid getting stranded. Then maybe 31s and a spare.
