The only thing I don’t like about this is the fact that you have nothing keeping the strap from sliding off the side. I would use a actual tire strap.
I use the e-track with tire bonnets.

Ha, it won’t slide, if I get it swaying hard enough to slide out from under the strap, the strap is by far the least of my concern. It will flatten the tire if I really crank it down.

We use 4 big cheap straps looped around the control arms, back to outside corners of trailer.

If the tire(s) run flat on the way home it will still be secured. This happened to me on a tractor once, transporting on a long drive. Ran something over on the way to the trailer and big rear tire went flat, strap went loose.
