We love ours, i think its at somewhere around 3600 miles. Its a very comforting feeling as we head off into the woods knowing it will bring us back, 700's are bulletproof.
X2So the 700 doesn't give me bragging rights but it is more than adequate for our needs and wants.
And that allows me to own other things and have other hobbies that interest me as well.
Would I like a Talon, Hell yeah. Would I give up my motorcycle or Jeep for it, Hell no.
What did you use for a fan in the engine compartment. I'd like to install one in mine. Gets way too hot in there sometimes.Love my p700-4. Got about 6000 k on it now and used it in some tough terrain and condition. Always makes it. Did drown it in a river once. Took awhile to get all the water out and started again but no negative effects. Single cylinders are way more forgiving when you drown them than twins. A lower gear or a low range would be perfect. Got roof, windshield, wipers, heater and snorkel. Added roof ventilation for dust and a fan in engine compartment to reduce seat heat. And a must have a full 1/2 uhmw skid plate. I’m in a lot of soft ground so I have gone to same tires on front as rear, both 11 wide and just up one size to 26’s. Steering is still the same and haven’t gone to power steering. Been considering portals for the gear reduction, because I very rarely ever run much at full speed anyway. And if I am and it takes a little longer, what’s the rush. Sit back and enjoy the scenery.
Can’t say enough good about the p700

Kinda surprised some guys are throwing fans on the 700. I honestly didn’t think it was too bad. Don’t remember anyone complaining about it, that’s one of the many things I liked about it. I noticed the heat much more in the 1000.I used a hydraulic cooler fan similar to the one that’s on the radiator except it’s a sealed unit. Hand it in for 4 years now. Works great. If I go into deep water with on it just blows the fuse.
I mounted it on the drivers side under the seat. It point about 45 degrees towards the engine and just blows air back. Cools engine compartment quickly.

I'm thinking the same thing, and it's the 2015 and up closed loop machines that are running much hotter.Kinda surprised some guys are throwing fans on the 700. I honestly didn’t think it was too bad.
